      NICOTINIC ACID supplementation or liver fat -- make a decision!

      “upon autopsy of rats which received corn grits without added niacin, the livers appeared fatty and friable. When the fat content of these livers was determined, it was found that the animals which received corn had, as a rule, more liver fat than the animals receiving added niacin. On analysis of the livers from the deficient animals for niacin (12) it was found that they contained less of this vitamin than the control animals.”
