InfinaLife DOES provide more desired gains & losses than meets the naked eye!
The below info is simply copy-pasted below from my comment of it in a previous thread in reply to member,
@aevum who was comcerned that InfinaLife was not bestowing to them their biologically established, unmatched benefits…I can assure you that it is doing more than you think regarding your weight loss given this trial showing how much extra fat (even the subcutaneous fat folks pay for ultrasonic or infrared treatments to lead to relatively meager losses) had to be lost in order for the weight loss and BMI to not change much in total given the massive increases in muscle mass!
Not to mention: “In patients, muscle metabolome shifted toward controls and liver fat decreased even 50%.” Note that for patients in this trial who needed visceral or liver fat losses, even the semi-extended release version enabled so.

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S155041312030190XA reminder not only that using raw “weight loss” on the surface as the sole metric to assess “weight loss” can be very misleading, how overlooking gains in sheer muscle mass can overpower the arithmetic to make it appear on the surface as if no bad weight was lost in the process and instead even gained (while miss the good muscle weight gained simultaneously), and also how the changes actually most important for your health and not necessarily for your cosmetics (although that too Is provided, just not as readily noticeable as a sarcopenic, unhealthy and unsustainable weight loss) — while not preliminarily obvious to the naked eye — so very much are indeed happening before our eyes and in due time, as the more detrimental fat that had accumulated / remained stubborn through organ/endothelial/epithelial lining gets broken up and cleared more, will only remain and thus then happen in isolation more to soon grow more noticeable. The timing of the transition from more crucial internal to more aesthetic external corporal fat loss ensuing to the point of making it clear to the individual will generally be once the HDL levels get to their max while total cholesterol/bad low-density lipid markers and triglycerides hit their bottom, if you want to really be a thorough accountant here. However, I think it will be much more enjoyable to take a sigh of relief and enjoy life from here, knowing that all the improvements you desire are coming along and simply not possible without niacin (+ L-tryp, which I apologize is likely boosting your muscle mass even more than just niacin would have, in turn inadvertently obfuscating your naked-eye perception into thinking you’re not actually making necessary and massive strides when you absolutely are, and at unfathomable levels without it and niacin supplemented). On a final note, we also have to remember how much sheer metabolic modulation, that is niacin making NAD+ aka proton motive force to counter inflammation and oxidative stress breaking down cells & tissue is always ongoing but here with the free fraction of tryptophan in coupled pair coming alongside, is finally starting to really quell these oxidative free radical propagations which led to waste of tryptophan as fuel for NAD+ and with that, our soft tissue away in lieu of niacin-tryp exogenously incoming before, and so with that, a lot of lost muscle and thus sheer mass (weight) that assuming niacin-tryp supplementation now is regaining immediately at a rate that quantitatively exceeds that of the bad fat weight being reduced which then is not, again on the surface, rightfully calibrated and even realized when assessment then is based strictly on total body mass/weight.

Ah, forgot to mention on a similar note, @aevum — given the dose-responsive effects consistently demonstrated for niacin, I would increase dose size to at least 2 even 3+ grams total InfinaLife powder weight to take 1-2x daily 40-min or so postprandially, so that we better ensure, during these preliminary stages here of relatively deepest deficit, that we supply more power to counter accumulated excess-weight (namely esterified fat).
If I may inquire, has your HDL-C been stubborn to incline beyond an apparent ceiling threshold while your LDLs (& likely lipoprotein[a]) remained stubbornly unable to drop below an apparent floor threshold level, despite previous and to this point ongoing niacin supplementation? If so — as such a lipid modification pattern would overlap with observing simultaneously a lack of a desirable amount of weight loss (i.e., assuming that no fat was actually lost or that significantly more could have been/still be, and that you haven’t considerably changed diet or exercise behavior/habit over this time too), then the lack of this relatively small but indispensable free-form fraction of L-tryptophan accompanying the nicotinic acid this whole time (& also the whole really long time before any nicotinic acid was initiated) until now, would for the most part explain why.
Not trying to sound condescending in any way here whatsoever; rather, only asking genuinely, have you any clue as to how that would explain it? Or can anybody else try their best just to chime in?
Given all we know now, or at least considering all that I have done my best to disseminate for you all to this point, I am truly inquisitively interested in how you and other members might go about explaining such an imperative but subtly difficult “concept” call-it (i.e., if one ever actually manages to catch/identify and from there, somehow to formally, clearly put into words) of this fashion/way of governing biology these two limiting essential nutrient factors authentically possess.
Only upon realizing the disparity of the “living” organism with versus without the set of possibilities of these two’s deficiencies (ideally which should dynamically be prevented from ever happening but that now after the fact, we hope finally to adequately counter, overpower, and reset back to never happening from that point on, does life really begin, so it seems from this vantage point…

@Dr.Kats After going through the images and links that I was able to see and recalling past articles, I can see how it is very much a multivariable effect going on of lowered LDL, prevention of triglyceride formation, increase of biomarkers correlated with fat loss, lowered abdominal fat, undos liver damage, fights off the streptomycin poisons, and many more unmentioned things, and how I merely need to take more and more often to have the proton motive force necessary to lose the fat.
I am not that keen on the biomolecular chemistry concerning lipids in relation to nicotinic acid at the molecular level, but I had over the years have a basic grasp of the various pseudo-vitamins and unessential amino acid metabolic pathways that all ends up being powered by L-Tryptophan and Nicotinic Acid providing the protons for electron transport downstream from NAD. Learning how exactly does nicotinic acid and l-tryptophan and NAD formed from its precursors moves esters out of the body in a visual diagram of the process will help me understand this better.
