This I learned too about one of the chemo treatments I was taking (Daratumumab), which targets CD38, a protein involved in the salvage pathway for creating NAD+. CD38 is in fact related to NAD+ regeneration, but more so really, and exclusively related to nicotinic acid and tryptophan (glided by C’s reducing power) to make NAD+ into then NAADP+ in endolysosomes. The traits that Chat talks about here are auxiliary. I can go over the true role of CD38 and its significance during the Q&A this coming weekend.
