So pleased I stumbled upon your site via telegram, started with the first 1g Niacin to 3g Glutamine…then corrected to the current amounts…loved the flush feeling, itching wasn’t too bad.. am up to 5g Niacin and 6 g L-Glutamine..but am inconsistent in timing and have had times where only my face and ears tingle instead of flush going all the way down to the tops of my feet.. Ideally when is the best time to take the protocol? and should I take at least 3X/day? Should I keep increasing the amount? (Hubby is taking 10/12g) P.S. I did read all the info….but there is alot of it and I’ve had to go back and read it several times..blaming that on foggy brain!!

Let me reply to this in detail in a little bit (about to eat dinner ha) … please do not worry though … everything normal … just a few tweaks we need to iron out to expedite success… can you go over which products you have and how you’re preparing each dose? Thanks!

Yes, so this is good we are getting control of glucose and lipid metabolism back! That’s usually the first start as niacin-glutamine then get deeper and more ubiquitous through the body. And we see already the thyroid is resurrecting! These are huge improvements within a month! Since you alluded to adjusting dosing from the original, incorrect 1:3 N:G ratio to the proper 1:1.187 N:G one now, I do think some of these thyroid levels went up faster than they should have, ha, based on this awesome paper:
Effects of hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism on glutamine metabolism by skeletal muscle of the rat.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1149701/Thyroid hormone regulates glutamine metabolism and anaplerotic fluxes by inducing mitochondrial glutamate aminotransferase GPT2
https://www.cell.com/cell-reports/fulltext/S2211-1247(22)00133-4?_returnURL=https%3A%2F%2Flinkinghub.elsevier.com%2Fretrieve%2Fpii%2FS2211124722001334%3Fshowall%3DtrueEither way, we want to continue at this equimolar (1:1.187) ratio of N:G, which you are likely seeing is way smoother too, as it is supposed to be. I think you will definitely see remodulation to ideal levels on the next test in a month or so. Whether the thyroid is under- and/or over- active (trust me – I have seen people’s thyroid counts show Hashimoto’s one day and literally overactive thyroid the next, even naturally, these crazy days), delivering these two nutrients in the equimolar ratio will rectify everything to the direction/junction we need. You can go up even higher like both those with over- and under-active thyroid have been doing (as so many do need more, it seems especially those with over-active thyroid) and per observations, everything settles down and remodulates to where we want. I would also do the next test without supplementing (or exercising) at least 36 hours before just to have it as unbiased readings as possible. I do not think you will have any issues and only further success (but at a much less erratic pace) with higher dosing, yes even up to 10-12 g doses if you wish. The worst that will happen is if they are too high or done too long, you end up just urinating out the excess that the body can’t process at the time. And of course, after testing out and evaluating the higher dosing for however long you feel you needed them, you can titrate down to the more anti-aging/prophylactic levels. Please let me know if this makes sense.

I have been using Niacin and L-Glutamine that I had previously purchased from Bulksupplements.com (hoping they’re ok) Have since ordered from Pure Bulk…also got a little scale to weigh out precisely (Was a chemical lab tech after college and early years before kids–so I know lab procedures) I am 68 and working on 3rd degree Black belt..so I am active..but struggling with weight after menopause which I have blamed on my thyroid all these years..and have been trying to fix things via alternative ways without synthetic drugs.. I take no drugs at all and use essential oils, homeopathy and orthomolecular modalities.. then I found Hom3ostasis!! So simple…dove right in….Also was having UTI problems and amazingly Niacin & L-Glutamine definitely helped in that area too!! Ok now so what should my next blood test consist of? A complete metabolic panel?

Yea, so the BulkSupplements is okay… but their glutamine powder is sketchy, so it is good you got the Pure Bulk actually pure ones (along with a scale). And very impressive! As we know, the flush niacin + glutamine is going to be used up more (and thus make us have to catch up with more later) during exercise (especially more intense). The weight issues will go away soon here too, just gotta get things going more you will see. And good no synthetic drugs, however, any of these other so-called “nutrients” and “homeopathics” aside from flush niacin & glutamine are worthless and can even be harmful too. Literally everything has more level of toxicity the more niacin/glutamine deficient we are. And yes, the UTI problems are readily cleared with sufficient niacin/glutamine. I think you can go higher and see more and more benefit, whilst also not putting anything in you — even other so-called “nutrients” and “homeopathic” remedies — other than well-balanced diet, clean (ideally distilled, coldish) water. For the next blood test, I would certainly do a complete metabolic panel like one of these: https://www.lifeextension.com/lab-testing/womens-testing?psafe_param=1
